family pumpkin patch outing
Boo! Halloween is around the corner and Wellington has his costume. He is a banana this year. Partly because bananas seem to be a trend around here this year (remember the street art I posted). Wellington was much more excited than how he looks in this picture. You know, he really is our little emo dog.
There are those that don't think dogs should be dressed up and I used to agree with them. However, they really shouldn't make outfits so available, funny and cute all at the same time. I just can't help it; besides Wellington a 12 pounder. Anyone else dressing-up their dogs?

This image rocks. Thanks to my father-in-law who took it. Makes Wellington look like the opposite of what he is really like. He looks pretty mean in this image. But he was just yawning. I guess the ceremony was boring for him.
We had to include Wellington in our wedding. We even got him a little doggy tux, as you can tell from the image. Luckily for me Wellington wasn't too mad about having to wear it. He understood it was a special occasions and he's no longer a bastard child. My maid of honor walked him down the aisle.
During the reception (while we were on the boat) we were told that Wellington followed the waitresses around the house waiting to see if any bit of food got dropped. We feed him very well (although we made sure to have a can of his favorite wet food at the reception, which is like a fast food happy meal for dogs). However, you wouldn't be able to tell by the way he hunts for extra food. At one point my maid of honor saw him having a cupcake that somehow got placed on the floor. Now we know he likes carrot cake.
weekend update
wellington got an awesome mohawk this weekend. he looks like a completely different dog. he only gets a hair cut every six months- towards the end of the six months, my mother says... "poor dog, he can't see." i tell her i'm only preparing him for the day he goes blind. yesterday he went from very shaggy mutt to an "intimidating" and handsome 12.2 pounder. hair cut or no hair cut, he makes us happy each day.
spent saturday night making a stop at gallery 101. i find it interesting to see galleries and the owner's layout of the place. it was great to see artwork. that's always nice for the soul. Definitely recommend a trip to Gallery 101.
