t-shirts

                        #diy nice shirt by #jesslopeMore jesslope #forhim

I made us t-shirts for the fair. Mike will be my helping hands (lucky me). We went to american appeal and picked up a pair of pink shirts to draw the lease amount attention to us. (haha) I went ahead and add the doodle face I've been obsessing over the last couple of months. I'm really getting the hang of my screen painting yudu machine. How cool does my painting look behind him?

some people see in color, other people hear in color.

The text on the image above nails the meaning of my recent artwork. I'm kinda proud of myself. I got my hands dirty and stepped outside of my comfort zone. Right now these are showing at the Uncommon Gallery. There are a few available on my shop too.  This is just the first series. I made three series with different faces and the symmetry lines get a bit wilder. I'll be showcasing all three series at my first fair. More on that later.

new items in shop

Remember my doodle mode post? What I didn't share before was that it was created out of a doodle I made while sitting on my couch watching a whole weekend marathon of Madmen. Weeks later, I ran with the idea and I now have a series of fifteen unique, hand-painted canvas screen print sheets. I've made the lines in different colors red, blue, and neon yellow.

I'm excited and curious for this project and its path.

iphone images update

first off, as a graphic artist i know my photos should be better but this is what i'm working with for for the time being.

i started making labels for the yudu towels that i'll sell. i am going to open shop on etsy in due time. i'm on a recycling high making sure i use as much as i can before i throw anything out. everything before i call it waste. i cut out 8.5 x 11 sheets out of brown paper bags. (sometimes i forget our reusable bags and accept the brown paper bags instead of plastic). i added my life in progress logo, printed and cut it out.

i can honestly say that, i had no idea what shallots were until i found the dinner files recipe for warm asparagus and cabbage salad. after looking around i found them in publix.

awesome and easy dinner thanks to the dinner files recipe for warm asparagus and cabbage salad. i'm digging her blog. this is the 2nd recipe i've done and helped me out on the nights i have to cook. and so far hasn't let me down.

i've enjoyed this wine for a few years and i never mind having it. the price is great and good with dinner or alone.

yudu sunday

rooster gallo- redo in red and black ink and a place setting for dinner, kitchen towels. i've found myself numerous of times as a house guest volunteering to set the table for dinner. not always sure of where each fork, spoon etc., is placed. this way from here on there is no question. a little clever way to remember. all while keeping it stylish in our kitchen.

after the kitchen towels were done and i was happy with the results, i went ahead and screen printed our clothe napkins. i loved the color but wasn't fond with the lack of design. so i spiced it up a bit with the imprint of the a place setting for dinner, kitchen towels.

see for yourself.

the closeup is what an imperfectly imprinted kitchen towel looks like. i happen to think they are still usable and pretty. i'm also still learning more about the yudu as i work on my little projects. so far there's been a few errors but i'm enjoying it.

rooster gallo towels

rooster in english and gallo in spanish. my first project made with the yudu machine. i had read that roosters bring luck in the kitchen. it's supposed to be a symbol of luck, health, and prosperity. I can't wait to start on some other yudu projects.
